Since Carol and I are moving into our house this August I thought I would start on finding items to decorate with. I was at Goodwill last week and picked up this awesome mirror.
I decided to paint it yellow with a left over can I had from redoing my room.

And when I’m home all the nostalgia floods back and I get sad. Then I remember that I can easily find $3.98 for a box of hair dye at WalMart. Life at that point gets much better.

For my final in weaving we had to create fabric that we could turn into whatever we wanted. I chose to do a skirt! I’ve never made any clothing before on a machine but it was a lot more fun then I expected. I wove three a half yards of a Trellis Overshot and this is the skirt:

For our CAD final we had to choose a recent news topic that we wanted to create into a repeat pattern for furniture.
I chose the New Zealand earthquake and this is what I came up with:
