I’d rather be here and constantly reminded of things I can longer have than be in a city where I feel fake.

Mary: I work at four and there's so much stuff I wanna do before.
Andres: Like what?
Mary: Sell my barbies on Ebay.
Andres: Wow......what's weird is that you're probably serious.

Since Carol and I are moving into our house this August I thought I would start on finding items to decorate with. I was at Goodwill last week and picked up this awesome mirror. I decided to paint it yellow with a left over can I had from redoing my room. aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand done.

For my final in weaving we had to create fabric that we could turn into whatever we wanted. I chose to do a skirt! I’ve never made any clothing before on a machine but it was a lot more fun then I expected. I wove three a half yards of a Trellis Overshot and this is the skirt: ‘ I’m pretty happy with how it came out :)

For our CAD final we had to choose a recent news topic that we wanted to create into a repeat pattern for furniture. I chose the New Zealand earthquake and this is what I came up with: The repeat unit. A color reduced photo of the rubble of a building in New Zealand. The pattern repeated out.
